Ever wonder why some people become top leaders and others don’t despite the same education and similar upbringing?
Studies indicate that the first 5-7 years are the most formative in person’s life, is it all because of childhood?
Little boys are taught the rules of conflict from childhood with battle toys, cartoons, and myth.
Little girls are taught to peacefully collaborate with dolls, dream homes, and “happily ever after” fairy tales.
Can it really be that your success mindset was written by the time you were in kindergarten?
Or can we re-write these unconscious patterns for ourselves? And what about for society?
Studying one of the underpinnings of society for the past 2000+ years, Sun Tzu’s Art of War, I realized that men have been secretly taught these rules for centuries through their upbringing – how to win without fighting is the best, where the smartest men become diplomats, and the strongest men are soldiers marshaling nations and working towards ideological hegemony, winning the next big contract, or the girl who will build a peaceful home and family for him. Art of War has influenced many disciplines of human thought: politics to psychology to profit.
And men have been teaching it to men for over the past 2,000+ years. You name it: Mao, Vietcong, Japanese businessmen, CIA, American lawyers, and NFL football coaches use the techniques found in Sun Tzu’s Art of War.
But what about women?
We, women, are a formidable force in society, going into labor for hours, raising children in some extreme circumstances, dealing with partners and spouses, all while working a demanding job with our never ending demands of motherhood and wife plus having to look gorgeous without a splatter of lipstick.
“According to Boston Consulting Group, women represent ‘the biggest emerging market that we’ll see in our lifetime,’ with a net worth of $5 trillion.”
Newsweek, September 12, 2009
Women have been behind the 8 ball curve from childhood in understanding the subtle unspoken rules of conflict. Not only that, there are few women teachers in the world who understand, research, write, and cater to diverse and multicultural women’s specific leadership needs.
“Secrets of 10%” teaches women these unconscious advantages that close the gap between male and female energy.
In this program designed specifically for each Super Heroine: Modern Princess, Agent Goddess and Wise Warrior, we will explore, learn and role play top 33 skills and qualities needed to get ahead in today’s multicultural environment.
We personally believe that no matter your form: female, male or somewhere between, we are all made of male and female energy – of action and feelings. Of course as supporters of diversity, we welcome LGBQT and male participants.
Do you feel it – this Super Heroine wave of power, leadership and legacy?
It’s taken over 2,000 years, but we as women are finally awakening to our power, leadership and legacy.
It’s been growing with the past hundred years since we were granted the right to vote.
And then in 1988, we were granted the right to apply for a business loan with the signature of a male relative.
Yes, granted.
How else have we been taken for granted?
Whether it’s reproductive rights, the right to be in the Boardroom, or the right to own property, women’s rights have come a long way to be considered equal human beings to the other half of our species – men.
And it’s about time that we step up into our leadership in gratitude of the past and visions of the future – equality.
Although like many others stepping into our power, leadership, and legacy, it may feel overwhelming to make the next steps.

Like a little bamboo that has been watered faithfully for years, you have not yet grown to your full potential and gone the extra 90 feet overnight to the live the life that you have always dreamed about as a child.
Why haven’t we as women stepped into equal roles of leadership: political, business, education, and society around the world?
Remember those childhood dreams?
Mine was to be a ballerina. Now I was round with a protruding belly and slightly clumsy. After being introduced to the world of dance, I realized that I would never aspire as a professional dancer unless I was on the TV Show “In Living Color” as a back up dancer.
Then I decided I would be tall with black straight hair and work on Wall Street with a briefcase, which was crucial. So in reality, I’m 5’3” on a good day with heels, my hair is wavy brown, but I did work at Wall Street firm. And most importantly I did carry a briefcase.
It wasn’t until I was 8 years that I realized that the world didn’t need another Asian American doctor, lawyer, or engineer, although they are all very noble positions. I kept on asking myself over and over again year after year – “What would the world need of me as an Asian American woman?”
I realized it was what we needed in every culture – leadership.
It didn’t matter if a person was Asian, Latina, Caribbean, African or Caucasian American or from anywhere in the world or male, female, LGBQT or gender undefined?
We all need leaders to create a better world.
Decades later after much research and studying leadership, I founded an Asian American women’s leadership in over 10 locations around North America including Canada featured in Forbes Women. Then I started meeting celebrities, influential, and powerful people, working with organizations, speaking around the world and even nominated for international awards.
As a Jersey girl growing up around the expansive farmlands, I was utterly amazed by the life I had created all the while carrying my briefcase, 5’3″ on a good day with my brown wavy hair. And I realized that I desired to share what I have learned over these years to support more people, future generations of leaders and create a better world…
Now some of our childhood dreams aren’t based in reality?
Like chunky clumsy me becoming a ballerina, managing wealth and speaking on the world stage with a briefcase.
Every one of us has versions of our childhood selves that have informed us in who we dreamed of becoming.
As we get older, we have lost our truth of who we became. There are pieces of our lost childhood self that made us feel alive and vital. That made us giggle with joy and stay up late dreaming. I would dream of all of my imaginary clients I would meet with my briefcase.
And now do you even remember those days? Why don’t we giggle with joy staying up late dreaming about our work?
